Chairman of the Board

Mr. Yaron Eitan has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Magnolia Broadband, Inc. since inception. Mr. Eitan has spent over 25 years building technology companies and possesses deep and broad experiences in starting, or acquiring, building and exiting businesses, bringing both financial and operational business expertise. His roles as entrepreneur, to senior management, to venture capital investor gives him unique perspectives and valuable insights. Mr. Eitan is the founder and managing partner of Selway Capital LLC, an investment management firm, and since June 2002 has also served as partner of SCP Partners, a private equity investment firm with over $800 million under management, specializing in telecommunications, defense, and education industries.

As a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Eitan has built five different technology ventures, three of them are now part of the SCP portfolio. He is best known as the founder and CEO of Geotek Communications, a wireless communications company. Mr. Eitan was also the co-founder of Reshef Technologies, a specialty munitions company based in Israel, and he had previously served as the President of Patlex, an industrial and patent enforcement holding company as well as Chairman of the Board of Bogen Communications, Inc. In 1998, Mr. Eitan founded Selway Partners a technology-sector holding company. Selway Partners was acquired by SCP Partners in 2002, at which time Mr. Eitan became a partner at SCP Partners. In April 2007, Mr. Eitan launched the Vector Intersect Security Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition corporation, which acquired Cyalume Technologies Holdings, Inc. in December 2008.

Mr. Eitan served in the Israeli Defense Forces for seven years, where he reached the rank of Major. He is the author of "Riding the Waves: The Story of the Rise and Fall of GeoTek". Mr. Eitan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Haifa University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.



Mr. Thomas Rebar is a partner of SCP Partners, a venture capital firm with over $800 million under management and headquartered in Wayne, PA. He has over 25 years of experience in venture capital/ private equity, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, and leveraged buyout financing. Mr. Rebar serves as a Member of the Board Director of several companies, including Cyalume Technologies, DVTel, Inc., and Pentech Financial Services, Inc. Prior to joining SCP, he was a Senior Vice President at Charterhouse Inc., the U.S. investment banking arm of Charterhouse PLC, a leading U.K. merchant bank. Before joining Charterhouse, Mr. Rebar was a member of the corporate finance department at Bankers Trust Company. He received his B.S. summa cum laude from the University of Scranton and his M.B.A. from New York University Graduate School of Business Administration.



Mr. Osmo Hautanen is the CEO of Magnolia Broadband, Inc. and a wireless communications industry veteran with over 25 years experience leading global leading companies and pioneering start-up operations. Prior to joining Magnolia Broadband, Mr. Hautanen served as the CEO of Fenix LLC, the holding company for Union Pacific Corporation non railroad business, managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio of technology assets. He also had served as CEO of Denver-based Formus Communications, an international wireless communications company prior to Fenix. Mr. Hautanen was President of Americas for Philips Consumer Communications group, a joint venture between Philips Electronics and Lucent. As an 18-year veteran of Nokia, he started and built a new division for Personal Communications Services in 1994, which lead Nokia’s dominance in the North American handset market. Mr. Hautanen also served in multi-discipline roles within Nokia and was a member of their Management Board.

Mr. Hautanen currently serves on the Boards of Directors or Advisors of multiple public and private companies plus charitable organizations and venture capital funds: Genesis Campus and Mobility Ventures. Mr. Hautanen holds a BSEE degree from the Technical College of Varkaus in Finland, and a MBA degree in international business from Georgia State University. Mr. Hautanen is fluent in Finnish, German and English.



Mr. Haim Harel is the Founder, President & CTO of Magnolia Broadband, Inc. and is a serial entrepreneur and world-class technologist and innovator in wireless communications. Prior to founding Magnolia in 2000, Mr. Harel founded Wireless Online in Los Altos, California in 1995 and served as Chairman and CEO until 1999. He has successfully managed dozens of engineers in numerous R&D projects in RF, Microwave, Digital Signal Processing and Software, and has a successful record in developing commercialized products. In 1991 Mr. Harel founded and served as President & CEO of NEXUS Communications (NASDAQ: NXUSF), a technology company based in Israel that developed an urban radio-location system. Prior to founding Nexus, Mr. Harel was Vice President in Fibronics Ltd., a pioneer in data communications, and before that, a Business Unit manager for in the Electronic Warfare division of Tadiran, Israel, where he managed $30M worth of export projects, delivering sophisticated airborne Elint systems. Mr. Harel is a graduate of the Technion University and the Tel-Aviv University with a BsEE and MsEE, respectively, and is the author of multiple patents in the communications field and is an active member of the 3GPP wireless industry’s standards organization.
